Panning

Panning allows you to move the map display around to show areas outside of the current viewing area without changing the scale of the map.

Steps For Panning

  1. Click the Pan button Pan on the Tools toolbar.
  2. Move the mouse over the map.
  3. Click and hold down the left mouse button.
  4. Move the mouse, still holding down the mouse button. The map will move with the mouse.
  5. Release the mouse button to complete the pan operation.
OR
  1. Move the mouse over the map.
  2. Click and hold down the right mouse button. When using the right mouse button the Pan tool does not need to be selected.
  3. Move the mouse, still holding down the mouse button. The map will move with the mouse.
  4. Release the mouse button to complete the pan operation.
