Steps For Specifying Map Projection And Units

If a maps projection and units are not specified certain functionality of AccuGlobe will not be available (including but not limited to measuring, setting scale or printing). Map projections and units are set on a per map/project basis. To set the map projection and units for your project follow the steps below:

  1. Click on View from the main menu.
  2. Select Properties from the View menu.
  3. Click on the Map Projection tab.
  4. Select the Map Projection from the list.
  5. Select the map units using the Units drop down list.

Steps For Changing The Working Directory

The working directory is the directory that AccuGlobe will use each and every time a file dialog is displayed. This is project independent and it is possible to set a directory that is different from where the project file is stored.

To change the working directory follow the steps below:
  1. Click on View from the main menu.
  2. Select Properties from the View menu.
  3. Click on the Files tab.
  4.  
    • Type in the new directory path.
      OR
    • Click the browse button Browse button and browse to the necessary directory.
  5. Check References to file data sources are relative to project file to save the paths of file based data using relative paths. Using relative paths makes it easier to move a project to a new location. If this option is not checked absolute paths will be used.
