Changing The Map

When the print designer first opens a default map will be placed on the page. Only one map can be added.

Steps For Resizing The Map

  1. Move the mouse over the map on the print page and left-click the mouse to select it. Drag handles will appear around the edge of the map, indicating it has been selected.
  2. Move the mouse over one of the drag handles.
  3. Click and hold down the left mouse button.
  4. Move the mouse. The map will resize. Release the mouse button to complete the resizing.


Alternative Steps For Resizing The Map

  1. Move the mouse over the map on the print page and single click the left mouse button to select the map.
  2. Click on the value for the Width property in the Property Editor.
  3. Change this value. This value indicates the number of measurement units for the map width. For more information on measurement units see Changing Page Properties.
  4. Click on the value for the Height property in the Property Editor.
  5. Change this value. This value indicates the number of measurement units for the map height. For more information on measurement units see Changing Page Properties.


Steps For Moving The Map

  1. Move the mouse over the map on the print page and click and hold down the left mouse button.
  2. Move the mouse. The map will move along with the map. Release the mouse button to complete the move.


Alternative Steps For Moving The Map

  1. Move the mouse over the map on the print page and single click the left mouse button to select the map.
  2. Click on the value for the X property in the Property Editor.
  3. Change this value. This value indicates the number of measurement the map is from the left hand margin. For more information on measurement units see Changing Page Properties.
  4. Click on the value for the Y property in the Property Editor.
  5. Change this value. This value indicates the number of measurement units the map is from the top margin. For more information on measurement units see Changing Page Properties.


Changing The Scale Of The Map

  1. Move the mouse over the map on the print page and single click the right mouse button.
  2. A popup menu will be displayed. Click on Modify Map.
  3. The Modify Map Properties dialog will be displayed.
  4. Click on a scale in the Scale Options list.
  5. Click the X button in the upper right corner of the dialog to close th window.
